    Privacy Policy

    Effective date: [DATE]

Psyforge is run by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME, e.g. PsyForge LLC], a [STATE] limited liability company ("Psyforge", "we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use psyforge.com and our related apps (the "Service"), why we collect it, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.

Short version: we use your answers to build your profile and reports. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use your answers for advertising. You can export or delete your data at any time.

    1. What we collect

Account details. Your email address, a password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), and, if you add them, a display name and profile picture. [If Google sign-in is added: your name, email and profile picture from Google.]

Assessment and quiz answers. Your responses to the personality assessment, the developmental level assessment, quizzes, the IQ entry test and daily reflections, and the results we calculate from them. You can take the main test without an account; those answers are stored [in your browser / on our servers for up to [N] days] until you create an account or they expire.

Things you tell the AI coach or mentor. Messages you write and the replies generated for you, so the coach can remember your history.

Relationship and team reports. When you invite someone, we store their email address so we can send the invite, and we combine their results with yours only after they take the assessment and agree to share. Each person can see the shared report. [Confirm how sharing consent works today.]

Birth details for astrology. Your birth date, time and place, and the charts and readings calculated from them. The free chart preview runs in your browser and is not saved unless you create an account.

Liker activity. The titles you like, pass on or save, and the taste profile built from them.

Career tools. Resume text and job posts you paste in, and the tailored versions we generate.

Community content. Anything you post or share in the feed, commons, social features or leaderboards, and your public profile cards. [Confirm which of these are public and which are visible only to signed-in users.]

Coins and rewards. Your coin balance, how you earned or spent coins, and items from the coin shop. [Describe what "Wallet & Earn" involves, especially if coins can be exchanged for anything of value.]

Payments. If you buy something, our payment processor [PAYMENT PROCESSOR, e.g. Stripe] collects your card details. We receive only a record of the purchase, such as the product, amount, date and the last four digits of the card.

Usage and device information. Pages you visit, features you use, approximate location from your IP address, browser and device type, and error logs. [List the analytics tools actually in use, e.g. none / Google Analytics / PostHog / Plausible.]

Cookies and local storage. We use cookies and your browser's local storage to keep you signed in, remember settings and save progress on a test. [Add analytics or marketing cookies here if any are used; if so, a cookie banner may be required for visitors from the EU and UK.]

    2. How we use it

    • To run the Service: score your answers, generate your profile, reports, readings, recommendations and coach replies.

    • To build shared reports when you and the other person both agree.

    • To keep your account secure and prevent abuse.

    • To improve our assessments and features. When we study how the assessments perform, we use [de-identified / aggregated] data. [Confirm whether answers are used for research or for training any model, and say so plainly here.]

    • To send you emails you ask for, such as results and invites, and, if you opt in, product news. You can unsubscribe from any marketing email.

    • To process payments and keep records we're required to keep.

We don't sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

    3. AI processing

Parts of your profile, reports and coach replies are generated by AI models run by third-party providers: [AI PROVIDERS, e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI, Google]. We send them only what is needed for the task, such as your scores and the question you asked. [Confirm each provider's terms: whether they retain inputs, for how long, and whether they train on API data. State it here.]

AI output can be wrong. Treat it as a starting point for reflection, not as fact about you.

    4. Who we share it with

    • Service providers who process data for us under contract: hosting [HOST], database and authentication [e.g. Supabase], AI model providers listed above, email delivery [EMAIL PROVIDER], payments [PAYMENT PROCESSOR], analytics [ANALYTICS or delete].

    • People you choose, such as the partner or team members in a shared report, or anyone who opens a result link you share.

    • The public, for anything you post in community features or set to public.

    • Legal and safety reasons, when the law requires it or to protect someone's safety, our rights or the Service.

    • A buyer or successor, if Psyforge is sold or merges, under this policy or one at least as protective.

    5. How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within [30] days, except what we must keep for legal, tax or fraud reasons, and backups that roll off within [N] days. Answers from tests taken without an account are deleted after [N] days if no account is created.

    6. Your choices and rights

[Keep only what exists today:] From your account you can view and edit your profile, download your data, and delete your account. You can also email [PRIVACY EMAIL] to:

    • get a copy of your data
    • correct it
    • delete it
    • object to or limit how we use it
    • withdraw consent you gave, such as to a shared report

California residents. Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, you have the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing, which we don't do, and to limit use of sensitive personal information. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. You can use an authorized agent. [Lawyer to confirm whether assessment answers count as sensitive personal information and whether any notice-at-collection is needed on the test pages.]

Other US states. Residents of states with similar laws have similar rights. Contact us at the address below.

EU, EEA and UK. [If you accept users from these regions:] We process your data to provide the Service you asked for (contract), with your consent (shared reports, marketing emails), and for our legitimate interests (security, improvement). You can complain to your local data protection authority. Your data is processed in the United States [under Standard Contractual Clauses or the provider's equivalent safeguards].

We'll respond to requests within the time the law requires and may need to verify your identity first.

    7. Children

The Service is not meant for anyone under [16]. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you think a child has given us data, email [PRIVACY EMAIL] and we'll delete it.

    8. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and our providers' security features to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise that data will never be accessed without permission. If a breach affects you, we'll tell you as the law requires.

    9. Not health care

Psyforge describes personality and development for self-understanding. It isn't a medical or psychological diagnosis, and we don't collect health records. If you choose to tell the coach about your health, we store it like any other message and use it only to reply to you. [Lawyer to check state consumer-health-data laws, e.g. Washington's My Health My Data Act, in light of this.]

    10. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in the app.
